Zcash is NOT a privacy coin

Over half of Zcash transactions are transparent. A quarter are transactions pegging in and out of the private pools. And only 20% of Zcash transactions are actually private transactions, roughly 1.8k txs daily.

This means there are more transactions shielding and unshielding Zcash daily than there are actual private transactions on it.

Monero has roughly 17x Zcash's daily private pool transactions. Even Bitcoin, while difficult to find exact numbers for, has by far more private transactions using L2s, coinjoin, etc., than Zcash, despite being seen as transparent by comparison.
